This video revisits a mythological story that has been depicted in art and literature countless times. Venus arises from a body of water, fully developed, in her reproductive prime, the subjective embodiment of feminine desire and womanhood. She has only one instinctual goal as she walks onto the shore--find a mate and make him fall in love with her beauty. In this version, Venus again rises up from the waves, but her surroundings seem foreign and her appearance is not so natural. She sets her sight on something in the distance, but the viewer is left to decide what her motivation might be.
